Your client channels in Slack,
kept in Notion.

Log Labs for Slack writes every message from the channels you pick into your Notion: a page for each channel every month, a toggle for each day, locked so nobody can change it. It reads, and never posts.

Invite-only beta for up to 10 Slack workspaces. Invited already? Add to Slack opens Log Labs in the Hassani Labs app.
How it works

Three steps, in Slack and Notion.

01

Add Log Labs to your workspace

In the Hassani Labs app, open Log Labs, choose the Notion database, then Add to Slack. You approve it on Slack's own screen.

02

Pick your channels

Public channels, and Slack Connect channels shared with a client: Log Labs joins them itself. A private channel: type /invite @Log Labs in it first.

03

Read it in Notion

Every new message lands in that channel's page for the month, under a toggle for the day. The pages are locked, so the record can't be edited by hand.

What gets saved

A faithful record, readable by humans.

🕒Every message, with its time and sender. Your team on one side, people from another company in a Slack Connect channel on the other, each in its own colour.
↩️Thread replies are marked as replies, with a link back to the thread in Slack.
✏️Edits are kept as "edited" lines, and a message deleted in Slack keeps its line: the log is protected.
📎Files are noted by name and type. The files themselves stay in Slack.
🗂️The 15 most recent messages from before you added a channel come in too.
🤫Read-only and silent. Log Labs never posts, replies or reacts, and never reads direct messages.
Permissions

Only what it needs to read.

channels:history groups:history

Read the messages of the public and private channels you pick.

channels:read groups:read

List the channels you can pick from. A private channel shows only once Log Labs is invited to it, and only to someone who is in it.

channels:join

Join a public or Slack Connect channel you pick, so you don't have to invite it.

users:read

Show people's names, and tell your team from a client's company.

No direct messages, no posting, no file contents.

Your data

Stored in your Notion. Not with us.

Messages pass through Log Labs only to be written into your Notion; we keep no copy. We keep what it needs to run: your workspace's name, its bot token (encrypted), the channels you picked, people's display names, and message ids for up to three days so nothing is written twice.

Remove the workspace in the app (Log Labs, Slack, Remove) and Log Labs leaves it and deletes what it kept about it. Remove the app in Slack (workspace settings, Manage apps) and Log Labs stops at once and deletes the token, the names and the waiting message ids; the workspace stays listed in the app until you remove it there. Your Notion pages stay yours.

Beta

Free during the beta.

Log Labs for Slack is in an invite-only beta for up to 10 Slack workspaces. It's free while the beta runs and doesn't count toward your Log Labs plan. We'll tell you before anything changes.
